CZ stands for Cubic Zirconia, a synthetic gemstone that closely resembles diamonds in terms of appearance. The CZ grading system is used to evaluate the quality of these stones based on their color, clarity, cut, and carat weight.

Firstly, let’s talk about color. CZs are graded on a scale from A to AAAAA (or 1A-5A), with 1A being the highest grade and 5A being the lowest. The closer a stone is to colorless or white, the higher its grade will be.
